tour-de-sikkim

Hola Guys!

I finally made a trip. A trip to Sikkim. One of my favourite destinations, amongst all the places I've visited. You can go to my photo album from here. Stories will follow very soon.

Because if we admit that human life can be ruled by reasons, the possibility of life is destroyed.

an un-usual pattern

..And hence it began all over again.
In the recent (not so recent included) past there has being a pattern in my life where it starts with planning a great travel plan and ending into nothing. Sad me staring at the monitor.
The pattern ceases to take a break, and the ghost of wanderlust in my head ceases to die.
And so it begins again. The Pujo Sankha Bhraman (a Bengali monthly for Travel enthusiasts) acting as a catalyst.
Anyways, there are two places in my radar right now.

Option A: somewhere in Sikkim (tentatively Dooars-Lava- Lolegaon).
Option B: Leh-Ladakh.

The mighty Himalaya is common in both the places. But the terrain, the people and the culture around is so very different.
Thinking of the Himalaya the first thing that comes to mind is “because it’s there” those famous words spoken by British climber George Mallory in 1924 when he was asked why he wanted to climb Mount Everest. From time immemorial the Himalayas has fascinated travelers from all along the globe I guess. (Why am I getting philosophical anyways?)
I was always a sea beach lover, than a mountain lover. Given a chance I would’ve always opted for a sea side vacation than a mountain one. And then I went for a trek in the Himalaya. Thanks to Angshu for the whole planning part and moreover for making the plan happen. The moment I reached Dhotre (a small village in the lap of Himalaya, with a population not more than 100 people) my love for the sea has taken a back seat. Standing mesmerized and being absorbed in the beauty, I promised to myself henceforth I’ll comeback to the Himalayas once every year. A year has not passed yet and the promise of coming back has started to take control. (I think the mountain Gods were listening when I made the promise)

Anyways I’ve recently bought a camera. It helps in controlling the ghost in your head.
